secluded setting is a natural for workshops, seminars, healing groups,
wilderness retreats, nature study, bird watching, special events such as
weddings and large parties, or large family gatherings for holidays and
vacationing. Use as a spiritual retreat center is also a clearly viable
possibility.
THE BUILDINGS
In addition to the main lodge consisting of two wings connected by an
elevated deck walkway, the property includes a large modern barn, a
greenhouse/workshop/storage shed, a smaller storage shed, a large outdoor
stage, and a bath house/utility building.
THE MAIN LODGE
Both wings of the lodge have been recently constructed. The west wing was
completed in 1992; the east wing was completed in 1995. Both wings have
three levels and both also have large decks extending out at the second
level. The siding is rough-cut hemlock. Each wing has a 175,000 BTU furance fueled by FREE NATURAL GAS from wells on the
property; 1st and 2nd levels have hot water/baseboard heat zones. In
addition, there are two wood-burning stoves in each wing for supplementary
use if desired. Each wing has 2 ceiling vent fans for summer comfort. The
electric service is 200 amp (400 amp
availability). Water well (15+ gallons per minute) and septic (4000 gallon
system) are in good working order.
WEST WING (6000 square feet)
Lower level - 3 carpeted rooms, 2 baths, greenhouse area with southern
exposure, hobby activity area, 1-car garage space, full kitchen (with gas
range, refrigerator), washer/dryer.
2nd level - Large L-shaped living room area (750 sq. ft.), 3 bedrooms, 2
baths, carpeted throughout. Walkouts to covered deck
areas.
3rd level - 4 bedrooms (2 very large), 1 bath, 4 large
